The Sterkfontein caves are open daily from 9am to 5pm and the last guided tour departs at 4pm. The Sterkfontein Caves is one of the richest and most productive paleao-anthropological hominid fossil sites in the world. It has yielded some of the most valuable and oldest evidence of the origins of humankind ever found.

The conference facility at Maropeng can cater for up to 500 delegates in comfort. You can tailor make your conference package to suit your specific needs and the co-ordinators at Maropeng will make sure these needs are taken care of. For the duration of your conference delegates can go on an underground ferry boat that takes one back 4 billion years in geological time, through the most basic elements that make up our world: water, air, fire and earth. From there the delegates can look at the birth of the Cradle.
